High: Good storyline length, online play, custom ability of character, weapons accuracy in storyline and online
Low: Whiny characters, still get stuck on unrealistic things, online games too short (at the moment)

What happens in Vegas, in this case, does indeed stay in Vegas.  Why, I thought to myself which I tend to do a lot. Why do we need another Vegas?  In a nutshell, I had played the online version so much that, to tell the truth and I only lie to my friends and I don’t like you people that much, I had forgotten what in the hell the story line for the original was.  For those of you who are like myself or just for those who have never played the first one, all three of you, no problem.  Vegas Dos grabs you and takes you deep into the original story and the events that lead up to the first and those that follow.  My question was answered, “Yes, yes you fool of a Took there is need of a second Vegas!” Now let me say this – Ubisoft and all those wonderful, ham slapping folks who went into making this game may not have out done themselves, how could they, but they did live up to the magnificence of the first.

The story line is agreeable in length and awesome new features have been added that make the jump into online play pretty sweet.  First of all, you have total control of your character’s look, not only in online play but also in story and terrorist hunt modes as well, yea for Barbie’s for guys and as unfortunate as it may be I mean that for real.  Secondly the whole time you are battling the slightly better and more devious AI’s of Gameplay World you are building you online character’s rank.  Yeah, you remember the almost impossible Elite of yesteryear; it just got a little easier.  Now keep in mind I did say a LITTLE easier.  You rank is still determined by XP, but you now have more ways of earning that coveted feeling of importance.  Marksmanship, close quarters combat and explosive kills, among others, all help in your journey to the top of the Rainbow ladder, that sounds like something you would hear on Care Bears or something and I’ll get more into that later.  During gameplay when your team gets kills, and they are much improved in that area, you as team leader get points.  Another nice addition is the fact that you can bring your boys along on terrorist hunts.  Oh, and did I mention that the boys can be set to receive voice activated commands?  A nice touch but it’s not that accurate.  When your girlfriend wants to know how her butt looks in these pants, bravo team does have a tendency to get themselves killed running into open fire.  “Looks good baby, wait, wait regroup! Regroup! Not you sweetheart, wait yes that’s nice – Hold position!”  Camera and character controls, as in the first, are smooth and seamless.  There are still too damn many things to run into and get stuck on though; I’m a heavily armored Special Forces agent!  I get stuck on tables and chairs????  Anyways, back to the dreaded tangos.  The AI assault team is more challenging this time around and they have access to and actually use incenararies, frags and C4, Oh my!  But, really, that just makes the game more fun.

Now to the pre-mentioned Care Bears.  Why, oh why, great inventors of such a wonderful game I ask on bended knee, would you make your characters seem so weak and/or whiny?  The movies, an important part to any game’s overall experience, is at times like watching a sappier version of Navy SEALS and, although a great movie, didn’t need anymore touchy, feely crap then it already had.  That aside the storyline is good.

Now on to the sun shininess of my dream vacation, the overwhelming satisfaction of the online play and I don’t mean the make believe satisfaction of a porno flick but the true satisfaction of…well, there’s no need to get into that.  First let me complain.  The games are too short and they didn’t, at least as of yet, bring my favorite game back.  I have the feeling they will be updating this with a frenzied passion soon enough.  Short of that – mind blowing, that is of course if you liked the first one.  If not then don’t buy this game.  If so then shell it out, baby, cause this one is a keeper.  The new maps range from open spaces to extremely tight combat.  Everything a growing boy or girl needs to stay healthy and active.  It’s not easy to shoot terrorists while hanging upside down from a rope you know.  I’m not certain of this but it seems as though they may have even fixed the shotgun from across the map trick.  I really, really hated that.  The guns live up to their description billing in both gameplay and online with nice new additions for this game.  In short, a must have.  In closing, I just hope Rainbow Six: Jersey can keep up the franchise.

5 Out of 5 Team Leaders
